Portable Activities

Another great idea for keeping kids entertain while waiting.  

These items are easily found at craft stores.  
- Popsicle sticks (colored or plain-  you can even use funky shapes)
- Stick on velcro dots

Place a rough velcro on one end and a soft one on the other.  Repeat on the other side.  

Place them in an old wipes container for easy storage.  


Use them to create shapes or letters (teaching tool).

Travel Crayons

Reuse those wipes containers to keep crayons handy when you are out and about.

Always a great way to keep the kids entertained.  On your way in, grab a couple of leaves from the ground and when they start getting bored with coloring, you can show them how to do a leaf rubbing.

Water Safety Tip: 
Pool gates provide an extra layer of protection, but they are only effective when they are closed and latched. Make sure the latch and gate are in good working condition.  The best option is to install a self-closing, self-latching gate.  Educate family and friends that the gate should remain secure when the pool is not in use.
